Ford joins Ram in responding to this growing segment of the police fleet. Importantly, the SSV package is a no-charge option! Ford has offered a police-oriented truck for years, listed in their police and special service vehicles brochure, but it has always been strictly the low, XL-trim "work truck." Te F-150 SSV benefits from years of experience Ford Fleet has had with the Expedition SSV. With the SSV, Ford Fleet is emphasiz- ing flexibility – different trucks for differ- ent tasks. To that end, the F-150 SSV is available with two very different engines: the 360 hp, 380 lb-ft, 5.0L DOHC V8 or the 365 hp, 420 lb-ft, 3.5L EcoBoost (twin S The F-150 SSV is available with either the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 or 5.0L Ti-VCT V8. Both come with a 220 amp alternator. Both engines produce plenty of power. www.pfmmag.com 15www.pfmmag.com 15
