MORE INFORMATION www.feet.chrysler.com www.chrysleracademy.com The very latest from the Fall 2012 meeting in California BY POLICE FLEET MANAGER STAFF T he Fall 2012 Dodge Police Advisory Board meeting was held in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Sheriff vehicle tests. The meeting was opened by Pete Grady, Vice President of Fleet and Network Development. He spoke of Chrysler���s continued fnancial recovery, discussed their continued feet sales growth, and emphasized they were on track to achieve all their 2012 goals and commitments. Grady���s eye is on the 2017 and the 2025 CAFE standards that 58 Police Fleet Manager Jan-Feb 2013 force signifcant changes in powertrains to meet the federal mandates for fuel economy. All the automakers are investigating all the drivetrain options, yet each seems to be focusing on slightly diferent approaches. CNG, Diesel and Electric Chrysler is looking at compressed Natural Gas (CNG), the most readily available fuel in North America. Te cost of CNG, based on its energy product, is $1.75 per gasoline gallon equivalent.
